Segundo Paucar, a 14-year-old boy, lives with his family in a village high up in the mountains of Peru. His father Noé is a respected artisan and Segundo’s role model. With loving eye for detail, he artfully crafts altarpieces for church and homes, and is preparing his son to follow in his footsteps. But cracks appear in their tight bond when, on his way to a community celebration in the Andes, Segundo accidentally observes his father in a situation that shatters his entire world. Trapped in a chauvinistic environment, Segundo will try to deal in silence with all that is happening to him. The film won Special Mention in Generation 14plus competition and L’Oréal Paris Teddy Newcomer Award at 2018 Berlinale.
