Kino Mediteran is a project aimed at revitalizing Dalmatian cinema, primarily by restoring movie houses and introducing film programs in smaller towns, where cinemas are long closed. Kino Mediteran’s program focus are independent films of the European and worldwide cinema, as well as programs for children and youth. The project encompasses 25 cities and small towns, and there are 12 cinemas open all year round. Our project has successfully digitalized cinemas in Bol, Hvar, Imotski, Komiža, Pirovac, and Supetar, and we have procured cinema equipment for Jelsa, Lastovo and Mljet. Since the beginning, we have cooperated with Zagreb Film Festival which has contributed to our program with numerous films.
