Film director Frano is preparing his debut feature, which will focus on women affected by the collapse of the textile industry in the region. The topic, as well as the main character, is inspired by his aunt who used to work in the industry, at the Kamensko Factory. In order to find the star of the film, he invites three esteemed actresses to his apartment for an informal reading rehearsal. However, once they realize they are competing against each other for the lead role, things take an unexpected turn. “Lada Kamenski is an embodiment of the feminine gender; she is a woman, worker, mother, wife, mistress, seamstress, colleague, and a film role to be fought for.” Sara Hribar participated in the My First Script workshop at ZFF in 2012. The film premiered at the Pula Film Festival this year and won awards for best debutant, female lead, screenplay and the FEDEORA Award for Best Croatian Film.
