“It is all a dream”, she sings, “a hallucination. You are seeing things! Estás vendo coisas!” A documentary about two protagonists of the tecno brega (cheesy techno) scene who stage a scene in which they appear as the stars. Brega is a musical style from the north of Brazil, which produces and distributes low-cost music without any regard for copyright law. The region characterized by poverty has of late acquired a new and sexy self-confidence.
