Sybille, a divorced mother, takes Samuel on a long journey across Kyrgyzstan. Accompanied by their two horses, mother and son face the magnificent environment, its dangers, local people – and above all each other. Based on the novel Continuer by acclaimed author Laurent Mauvignier (2016). The film premiered at Venice Days at Venice Festival in 2018. Belgian director Joachim Lafosse returns to ZFF after Our Children (Best Actress, Un Certain Regard, Cannes) and The White Knights (Best Director, San Sebastián).
